ETLTC2027 January Edition
We invite contributions that explore contemporary technical communication practices and their evolving role in communicating complex technical, scientific, and technological information to diverse audiences. We particularly welcome research examining how emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, generative AI, automation, multimodal systems, and digital platforms—are transforming the ways technical information is created, documented, communicated, accessed, and understood.
Contributions may address theoretical perspectives, practical approaches, case studies, tools, methodologies, educational practices, or emerging challenges in technical communication across academic, professional, industrial, and organizational contexts. Topics may include, but are not limited to, technical writing and documentation, user-centered communication, AI-assisted technical communication, information design, multimodal communication, accessibility, localization, workplace communication, software and engineering documentation, and the development of technical communication competencies.
We especially encourage interdisciplinary contributions that examine how technical communication can become more effective, accessible, human-centered, and responsive to the rapidly changing technological landscape.
