ETLTC Conference Series

The following guidelines can be used across the ETLTC conference series for authors presenting accepted papers in poster format.

1. Poster Format

• Recommended size: A1, portrait orientation (594 × 841 mm).

• Format: PDF for digital submission; high-resolution PDF/PNG for display.

• Language: English.

• Design: Clear, professional, visually engaging, and easy to read from a short distance.

• Use a consistent academic structure and avoid excessive text.

• Figures, diagrams, tables, and visual summaries are strongly encouraged.

2. Recommended Poster Structure

Your poster should clearly communicate the main contribution of your research. We recommend the following sections:

1. Title

   • Use the exact title of the accepted paper.

   • Keep the title concise and prominent.

2. Authors and Affiliations

   • Include all authors in the order shown in the accepted paper.

   • Include institutional affiliations and, where appropriate, email addresses.

3. Background / Introduction

   • Briefly explain the research problem and its significance.

   • Provide only the essential context.

4. Research Objective / Questions

   • Clearly state the research objectives, questions, or hypotheses.

5. Methodology

   • Summarize the research design, participants/data, tools, procedures, or analytical methods.

   • Visual representations such as flowcharts can be particularly effective.

6. Results / Findings

   • Highlight the most important findings.

   • Use graphs, charts, tables, diagrams, or other visualizations where appropriate.

7. Discussion

   • Explain the significance of the findings.

   • Relate the results to the research problem or existing work.

8. Conclusion

   • Present the key conclusions and implications.

   • Keep this section concise.

9. Future Work / Applications

   • Where relevant, indicate potential applications, extensions, or future research directions.

10. References

• Include only the most important references cited on the poster.

11. Acknowledgements

• Include funding agencies, institutional support, collaborators, or other acknowledgements where applicable.

3. Poster Design Recommendations

A good poster should allow a participant to understand the research problem, methodology, key findings, and contribution within a few minutes.

Recommended:

• Use large, readable fonts.

• Use clear headings and logical visual sections.

• Keep sufficient white space between sections.

• Use high-resolution figures and graphics.

• Use charts and diagrams instead of long paragraphs wherever possible.

• Maintain strong contrast between text and background.

• Highlight the main research contribution rather than attempting to reproduce the entire paper.

Avoid:

• Copying the entire paper onto the poster.

• Excessively small fonts.

• Large blocks of uninterrupted text.

• Overcrowding the poster with references or technical details.

• Low-resolution images.

• Unexplained abbreviations and technical terminology.

4. Suggested Font Sizes

As a general guide:

Poster title                                 60–80 pt

Author names                            32–40 pt

Section headings                       30–40 pt

Main text                                    24–30 pt

Figure/table labels                     20–24 pt

References                                18–22 pt

The exact font sizes may be adjusted depending on the poster layout, but readability should be prioritized.

5. Presenting the Poster

During the designated poster session, presenters should:

• Be available at their poster during the assigned presentation period.

• Provide a brief overview of the research when participants approach.

• Be prepared to explain the research problem, methodology, major findings, and contribution.

• Engage in questions and discussion with participants.

• Avoid simply reading the poster aloud.

• Where appropriate, demonstrate a system, prototype, dataset, application, or other research output.

A 2–5 minute research overview is recommended for initial discussions, followed by questions and informal interaction.

6. QR Codes and Supplementary Materials

Authors are encouraged to include a QR code linking to relevant supplementary materials, such as:

• Full paper

• Research dataset

• Software or GitHub repository

• Demonstration video

• Research website

• Survey instrument

• Additional figures or results

• Contact information

QR codes should be clearly labelled and should not replace essential information on the poster itself.

7. Digital Poster Submission

If ETLTC requests advance submission of the poster, authors should submit:

Recommended size: A1 portrait
File naming: ETLTC2026_Poster_PaperID_FirstAuthor.pdf

The final submission deadline will be communicated by the respective conference organizing committee.

8. Important Note

The poster should be based on the accepted version of the paper. Authors should ensure that the title, author names, affiliations, and research contribution are consistent with the accepted submission.

The poster is intended to facilitate research communication, networking, and interdisciplinary discussion, rather than simply reproduce the full paper.
